The OPPO brand smartphone launched an assisted reality device – Oppo Air Glass at the ongoing Inno 2021 event.
AR used is equipped with a micro projector spark developed by itself.
It offers four types of user interactions through touch, sound, head movement, and hand movements.
Oppo Air Glass will be launched in the first quarter of 2022 in China.
It will be available in two colors – black and white – along with two custom frame accessories.
The device is said to display a lightweight and minimalist design.
It is said as one of the lightest monocle waveguide devices in the industry and can be used like a pair of ordinary glasses.
Oppo Air Glass present integrated with Micro Oppo projector, LED micro LED, and custom waveguide technology.
It is said to provide bright and sharp content whether it is used inside or outdoors.
The Smart Glass projector is 0.5cc, or approximately the size of coffee beans.
Micro LEDs have brightness of up to 3 million nits.
Water Glass supports two display modes – 16 level gray scale and 256 grayscale levels – and can provide up to 1400 nits in average brightness.
It is said to be designed to be accessible as many people as possible, including users with bias errors such as myopia and hypermetropia.
Smart can be used can be operated using glass smart applications on Oppo Watch 2 and each OPPO smartphone installed with ColorOS 11 or the above version.
When paired with Oppo Watch 2, users can also use hand movements to confirm, cancel, and activate the application card.
It comes installed with various applications, including weather, calendar, health, teleprompter, translation, and navigation.
