Ranchi: In the case of unethical practices, a company deployed by the State Premier Hospital, the Institute of Medical Sciences Rajendra (RIMS), was found to do private business by using hospital resources, causing loss of more than Rs 50 Lakh to the Health Institute.
According to the Rims officials, the hospital reports electricity and its fabrikation to work into electricity B.
The agency is also responsible for the work of fabrication from time to time in various hospital departments and they have provided space for their operations near the oncology department.
However, the company has used electricity and equipment intended for hospital work to make iron gates, sliding windows and gates for personal entities outside the hospital.
Confirming developments, one of the employees working with private electricity companies, said their work for private entities has been going on for more than one and a half years, using electricity and labor intended for rim work.
“On average, everyday electricity consumption used for this fabrication job for private entities must be around Rs 10,000.
If we count it for more than a half years, it will be around Rs 56 lakh,” the employee said.
He further said they bought raw materials such as iron rods and used memo items from the rim to make a channel gate.
About four days ago, a large iron gate, which was made entirely on the Rims campus, sent to Piska more areas around midnight, he said.
Three days ago, the old jeep was also repaired and sent to the owner.
“The jeep’s body needs welding and repair.
It was restored in three days and was sent to the owner last Wednesday.
AB Electricals receives Rs 20,000 for improvement,” he added.
Meanwhile, the REG administration has been trapped but has begun an investigation after learning about this problem.
Deputy Medical Supervisory Rims, Dr.
Shailesh Tripathi, said, “It has arrived at our notification and we have directed electricity council officials on the Campus of the rim to conduct detailed investigations of what will be taken.”
