Rajkot: The couple is threatened and misused by members of the top of the caste community who accused that they had thrown a buffalo carcass near his farm in Jamkodarna Taluka.
According to Manji Boricha who complained, accused RevTubha Jadeja came to their home on October 31 when they slept and began asking him why the carcass was thrown away near his farm.
When Boricha denied the allegations, Jadieja began to harass him and threw Casteist slurs and also threatened Borischa and his wife in the terrible consequences if they dare to throw another carcass near his farm.
The next day, the couple told their neighbors about the threat of Jadyja and tried to resolve this problem peacefully.
However, when a settlement could not be contacted, they decided to file a complaint with the Jamkandorna police station.
The police violations are registered with criminal intimidation and under the scheduled caste section and the scheduled tribe (prevention of atrocities) acts as a couple Dalit.
The police said that Jadeja came to Boricha’s house at the time of a police officer posted at home they had gone for dinner.
The Dalit pair has been given police security after a Dalit woman was killed about one and a half years ago leading to tensions in the village.
