Some larger facilities such as PU La Deshpande and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Gardens were closed for a longer period when they draw a significant crowd.

“It will benefit those who don’t have space to walk at home,” he said.

According to estimates, more than 1,000 people visit popular parks on weekends on pre-pandemic days.
