Nagpur: As a strike of MSRTC employees throughout the country entering the 14th day, the Regional Transportation Office (RTO) on Wednesday operates a private bus on several routes including Gondia, Bhandara, Katol, Amravati, Chandrapur, Wardha, Gadchiroli and other places.
A total of 350 buses carry 10,000 passengers, according to Ravindra Bhuyar regional transportation officers.
In the midst of heavy police bandobast, the RTO team led by Motorized Vehicle Inspector Anand Mohod continued the bus service from outside the St Depot in Ganeshpeth, bringing relief to passengers, especially those traveling to rural and interior of Nagpur.
Initially, RTO launched the operation from outside Ganeshpeth Depot.
However, citing a high court order that does not allow private bus operations in the edge of 200 m from St.
Stand, Nagpur City Police led by Senior PI (Traffic) Hanmant Urlagondawar shifted the operation to the nearest streets.
This step caused some discomfort for passengers who had to walk away to take the bus.
The welcoming passenger moved to the private bus on the MSRTC route but showed that the service must be continued from within the Ganeshpeth bus depot.
To see passengers face difficulties in finding buses and even the police and transportation department employees seem helpless.
There is no control room or center helpline found at Stand St.
The personal bus involved by RTO also transports passengers on routes such as Butibori, Koradi, Kampee, where Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) provides AAPLI bus services.
The Transport Commissioner Avinash Dhakne said he had directed the local office to see this problem, but until late at night without a decision.
Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar is also guaranteed to solve this problem.
Even though RTO monitors the movement of private buses, many operators are suspected of deceiving passengers.
Many passengers told TII that operators imposed too high rates on routes such as Bhandara, Gondia and Wardha.
ST employees say that they will continue their attacks until their demands are fulfilled.
The driver of St Pravin Ghughe, who was among those who led agitation, said that they would not take law and order in their hands while putting aside the opposite of the Ply private bus.
Employees hope that the state government will meet their demands.
