Patna: The Patna High Court gets two new judges – Nawneet Kumar Pandey and Sunil Kumar Panwar – on Thursday.
Judge Pandey is a previous registrant General of the Patna High Court.
Pandey and Panwar have increased to high justice from the country’s subordinate trial quota.
Chief Judge Sanjay Karol gave an oath to both in a simple ceremony held within the High Court Centenary Building.
Other judges were also present on that occasion.
Almost after one and a half years that the new judge was appointed in the High Court.
The power of the judge here has expired to 18 which has now increased to 20 with fresh promises.
There are still 33 empty posts on the Patna High Court.
According to the data on the national Judicial data network, 2,27,576 cases are waiting for hearing at the Patna High Court, including 1,12,059 civil cases and 1,15,517 criminal cases.
At least six names more lawyers Patna High Court was cleared by the Supreme Court College on September 23 for higher altitude to justice.
They are Counsel Khatim Raza, Sandeep Kumar, Anshuman Pandey, Purnendu Singh, Satyavrat Verma and Rajesh Kumar Verma.
Notification of the central government for their appointment awaited.
Chairman of the Country Bar Bihar Ramakant Sharma congratulated the new judges and said the bar was very optimistic about the six-name permit by their appointment center immediately.
The President of the Yogesh Chandra Verma Advocate Association said the center must be more proactive in the appointment of judges.
“The appointment of two judges will not bring much help.
There are still 33 vacancies,” he added.
