Patna: Patna Metro Rail Corporation (PMRC) has received more than 7,500 entries for the logo contest from people throughout the country, which includes small cities and major cities, said a senior official on Friday.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) works on the Metro Patna project, which is intended to tend the city using a mass quick transit network for the first time.
“We have received a remarkable response from more than 7,500 entries from all over the country.
These include large metro such as Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bangalore, and also small cities like Guwahati, besides Patna.

The entry is being evaluated by the jury of five members and the final decision is expected to be taken on the PMRC logo at the end of September, the official said.
There is no age bar when sending entries.
Concept records must also be attached to the entry, according to the contest specifications.
“From around 7,500 entries, almost 2,500 comes from Bihar, with Patna Accounting for nearly 2,000 entries.
All major education institutions are located in Patna, from all disciplines, so this big response,” the official said.
Patna entries come from IIT, Bit, Nit, Patna University and College, NIFT, and even school children have sent a logo designed as part of the competition ended July 23.

The jury consists of PMRC’s head, senior Patna Metro official, and experts from NIFT-Patna and Patna College of Arts and Crafts, the official said.
Winners will be selected based on creativity, originality, technical quality, creative ability and visual impact.

“We have received entry that has been fully designed, as well as the illustration drawn hand.
The jury will receive a call on the entry, and it will be suddenly decided by PMRC MD,” the official said.
