Mumbai: Paytm Bank Payment Council has approved the appointment of Ramesh Abhishek (former Secretary of Dpiit), Manju Agarwal (who with SBI) and Shinjini Kumar (Bankir) as an independent director.
In addition, Renu Satti, which leads offline payments in Paytm (One97 communication), has placed his paper this week.
Following his resignation, the company said that they had consolidated offline business payments vertical and loans under Bhavesh Gupta, currently the chief executive loan.
Paytm Payment Bank, an ONE97 communication partner who was recently registered on the stock exchange, has seven board members including MD & CEO of Satish Kumar Gupta and Chair of Vijay Shekhar Sharma.
The former Secretary of the DPIIT Abhishek has become part of government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India, and regulator reform.
He also led the initiative of intellectual property, industrial corridors, productivity and UMKM competitiveness.
Agarwal, which with Bank Negara India for 34 years, has expertise in retail banking, digital payments and business traders.
He was involved in the conceptualization and launch of the Yono platform.
Kumar has been funded for more than three decades in the senior position in RBI, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, PWC, Paytm Payment Bank and Citi Group.
