Chandigarh: After getting controversial letter fragments sent to all district administration and the police regarding the steps to be taken to disruption by the protesters during the visit of the Chairman of Punjab Chararjit Singh Channi, the Office of the Special Protection Unit (SPU) in Chandigarh on Thursday night pulled it, quoting ‘Clerical error’.
In the initial letter released in the morning, IG has asked all deputy commissioners, police commissioners and SSP to play Shabads (Hymns) or religious songs to sink sloganeering by protesters during visits or cm events.
But after the letter became a viral on social media, it was drawn, stating that there was no further action that needed to be taken on it.
Mission New IG now only said that the volume of the loudspeaker must be reduced so that the main minister can hear the general public petition.
