Vadodara: Parul Institute of Engineering and Technology-Diploma City (Piet-DS) has been given ‘one district, award one green champion for the Vadodara district under the’ Swachhata Action Plan ‘.
This award is given in line with the University’s efforts to develop best practices in sanitation and cleanliness, waste management, water management, energy management and greening by the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of rural education, the Ministry of Education, the Government of India.
This award was recently given before the Collector of the Vadodara District R B Barad.
The ‘Swachhata’ Action Plan Committee was led by the Principal of Dr.
Ruchi Shrivastava and coordinated by Assistant Professor Rajshree Kokate adopted and applying best practices in the area concerned together by ensuring public health.
The committee adopts villages, creating awareness about ‘Swachhata’, water conservation, promoting the concept of free plastic villages, carrying out tree plantations, distributed masks and conducting household surveys.
