Vadodara: For the first time in the city, members of the BJP City Unit gathered to participate in the auction of mementos and prizes presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The party raised Rs 68lakh on Friday at the auction.
The results of the offer used for the Gange Namii project apart from BJP senior officials, members of various organizations in the city join auction on Thursday.
Overall, 42 articles were picked up at the auction by people from Vadodara.
The BJP City Unit President, Dr.
Vijay Shah, said that the bidder had joined the auction at the same time.
Most come to the venue to do so, others join e-auction remotely at the same time from different locations.
Shah himself took a talented memento to Modi.
Vadodara MP Ranjan Bhatt by successfully bidding for two items including scarves and artwork.
Secretary General of the City Unit and former Mayor of Sunil Solanki bought a bow and arrow.
The source said that offers for several items lasted late at night.
The Mayor Keyur Rokadiya, who is eyeing an article involved in an offer that saw good competition.
