Kanpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday became the first passenger of Metro Kanpur service when he inaugurated the completed part of the Kanpur Metro project.
He was accompanied by Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath and Union Minister of Hardeep Singh Puri.
According to the Prime Minister’s office (PMO), increasing urban mobility has become one of the main focus areas of PM Modi.
The length of 9 km from the Metro Kanpur Rail project stretches from IIT Kanpur to Moti Jheel.
The entire Kanpur Metro Rail project is 32 km and is being built at a cost of more than RS 11,000 Crore.
Kanpur Metro will be the fastest default metro project in this country.
The Chairman of the Yogi Minister Aditentalath began construction of the Kanpur Metro project on November 15, 2019, and the Trial Run occurred at 9 km IIT to Motijheel Priority Corridor on November 10, 2021, in less than two years.
Prime Minister Modi will also check the Metro train project and conduct a metro trip from the IIT Metro station to Geeta Nagar.
In addition, the Metro Railroad project, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate the Multiproduct Pipe Project for Bina-Paski.
In accordance with PMO, the Multiproduct Pipe Project Bina-Pkeki 356 km has a capacity of around 3.45 million metric tons per year.
