New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch an Indian space association, space grouping and satellite, on virtual events on October 11, said the body of the industry on Thursday.
The Indian Space Association (ISPA) represents hommobal and global companies with advanced abilities in space and satellite technology.
Members of the founder include Bharti Airtel, Larsen & Toubro, Nelco (Tata Group), Oneweb, Mapmyindia, Walchandnagar Industry and Ananth Technology Limited.
Other core members include Godrej, Hughes India, Azista-BST Aerospace Private Limited, Bel, Centum Electronics and Maxar India.
“We are really honored to have the Prime Minister Hon’ble refers to the launch ceremony and describe his vision for the growth of the Indian Space Industry and make our nation as a global leader in the outer arena,” said the ISPA Director Ak Bhatt in a statement.
L & T-NXT Senior Executive Vice President for Defense, Jayant Patil has been appointed as the first ISPA chairman, while the Head of Bharti Airtel Regulatory Officer Rahul Vatts will function as deputy chairman.
