Ahmedabad: Minister of Houses Union Amit Shah said on Saturday that for years the center of faith for Hindus lying in an insulting state and no one recovered his glory until 2014 when the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in power.
There was a time when people were embarrassed to go to the temple but all of this had changed under the new leadership of PM Modi, Shah said it added that the Modi government worked without fear of renovating and recovering a center and respect forgotten.
He spoke at the Stone Foundation plate ceremony from Umiyadham Temple on the Sola Umiya Campus in Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway at Ahmedabad.
PM Modi will attend a three-day Foundation stone layer ceremony for a virtual temple project on December 13.
“Today, because the ceremony laying the Grand Temple Foundation is being carried out by Arya Ayji (Governor Gujarat) Acharya Devvrat, I want to say that Modiji has worked without fear and with faith and respect for the renovation of our forgotten Faith Center,” Shah said .
This temple is dedicated to Maa Umiya, the god of government from the Patidar Sect of the Kadva.
It was being built for the cost of the RS 1,500 Crore project, Shah said.
“We have seen the time when people feel ashamed to visit the temple.
But the era is newly escorted from PM Modi, after winning the 2014 election with the majority, appearing Ganga Aarti after applying the holy ashes on his forehead at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple,” he said.

Apart from Umiyadham’s temple, the Umiya Mata Temple Trust, who runs the main temple at UNJHA, will also build a complex adjacent to the temple to provide training and dormitory facilities for Patidar youth preparing for civil service entrance tests.
