New Delhi: Citing a success story from the “Aspirational” district, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday urged district judges to identify 10 tasks that must be completed in the next three months to increase the ease of life of the general public.
PM emphasized the target of being bound by time to take the way to all villages in the district, ayushman card, bank account to everyone, gas connection test, retirement insurance and housing for everyone.
“The aspirational district is now eliminating obstacles to the progress of the country.
They have become accelerators for growth instead of obstacles,” he said while interacting with DM throughout the country when he detailed success stories in the aspirational district.
He refers to a sharp increase in the registration of pregnant women in a government-managed health program from 37% to 97% in the Chattarpur district in Madhya Pradesh, an increase in institutional childbirth in Namsai Arunachal Regency, Dhalai in Tripura, among others.
PM said some government ministries and departments have prepared a list of weak 142 districts on one or two parameters and emphasizes the need to work with the same collective approach as being carried out in the aspirational district.
“This is a new challenge for all Indian governments, state governments, district governments, and government machines.
Now we have to complete this challenge together,” Modi said.
The central and countries will work together to elevate these identified districts to deal with development bags and 15 sectors related to 15 ministries and departments are identified.
PM said the country witnessed the silent revolution in the form of Indian digital and no districts must be abandoned in this matter.
He emphasized the importance of digital infrastructure reaching each village and becoming a means of service and facilities.
He asked Niti Aayog to design routine interaction mode between DMS and the central ministry was asked to document the challenges of this district.
