Pune: Covid vaccine doses will be given to beneficiaries aged 15-18 years in 40 vaccination sites within pune civilian limits.
Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Friday issued a new circular which states that the site will be available in all 15 zones within citizenship boundaries.
On Thursday, Civic’s body said the vaccine would be offered to beneficiaries in this category in five vaccination sites.
The press statement from PMC said the online vaccination slot order for the Group will begin on January 1.
PCMC’s additional commissioner, Vikas Dhakane, said they would offer a vaccine to the 15-18 year age group at seven sites.
CEO Pune ZP, Ayush Prasad, said they would offer vaccines in schools and colleges through special camp sessions.
Authorities of the Dedicated Covaxin Site district – Aundh District Hospital – said they would create a session from January 1 to January 8 on their site, and thus increase the number of daily doses offered.
Previous rules from the State Family Welfare Department have asked the nationality authority to start a separate vaccination site for immunization aged 15-18 years.
The state has around 60 Lakh beneficiaries in this category, while the district has around five lakh beneficiaries like that.
