Pune: The Civic Body will conduct a survey of Tuesday bridges and firovers where accidents often occur, with a special focus on the Navy Bridge.
The decision was taken after selected members of Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), crossing the party line, raising problems at public body meetings on Monday.
“A survey of these places will be carried out.
A report on the vulnerable spots of this accident will be arranged in two days and the same copy will be sent to the United States and also the state government authority.
Blind spots and other problems here will be resolved earlier, “said Mayor Murlidhar Mohol.
The PMC canporators claim that defects in the design and construction of Flyovers have caused an accident.
“The Navy bridge has become the center of the accident.
A total of 68 people lost their lives in the accident near this bridge, because they were built a few years ago,” said Ajit Darekar, a Corporate Corporate Corporator.
Corporators from other parts of the city – Warje, Bavdhan, Kondhwa, Katraj, Parvati and Peth area – share their observations about tastes and bridges in their area.
Selected members claim that there is a game that blames taking the responsibility of the accident.
They said PMC blamed the state government, while the PWD country pointed to the fingers in PMC and this delayed the work of repairs and restoration.
