Warsaw: Poland on Monday remembered his ambassador with Israel two days after Jerusalem did the same for Polish laws which limited world war claims II, which had been slammed by Israel as “anti-Semit”.
President Andrzej Duda on Saturday approved by laws that would greatly limit property claims confiscated by the state after World War II.
Warsaw said it would increase legal certainty in the property market but opponents said it was unfair for people with legitimate claims, including victims of the Holocaust and their families.
“Ambassador to Israel will remain in the country (Poland) until further notice,” said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement on Monday.
That step occurred, he said, in response to “Israeli state actions that cannot be justified recently, including unfounded decisions to reduce the level of diplomatic relations” and “statements that are unacceptable” by Israeli Foreign Minister, among others.
“The decision on the permanent level of Poland’s diplomatic representation in Israel will be made in the following days,” said the statement, adding that Warsaw would not send deputies of ambassadors.

Foreign Minister Yair Lapid on Saturday given the Israeli envoy to Poland for the new law, which he called “immoral, anti-Semitic”.
Israeli Prime Minister Naphtali Bennett has slammed the law as “embarrassing” and said it showed “embarrassing humiliation for the memory of the Holocaust”.
Poland Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Sundays the anti-Semitism accusations were rejected.
He said the Israeli decision to remember the charges of D’Affaires to Warsaw “irresponsible and irresponsible” and accused the Israeli government to prioritize “party interests”.
“No one knows the truth about the Holocaust and the suffering of Poland during World War II can accept this method of doing politics,” he said on Facebook.
