Nagpur: City Police have started visiting residences of around 400 browsing sexual violence to ensure their safety of the perpetrators.
This is part of the security blueprint pursued by the City Police Chief Amitesh Kumar for women’s safety with different components implemented since February the first week.
City police have also identified 58 persecutors and 12 rapists who have repeated violations of them.
They will be stored under supervision and slapped with prevention measures.
Kumar has started a city security audit in various places, especially the vulnerable, in relation to women’s safety.
The top police said that the blueprint was being prepared in a gang rape background registered at the Sitabuldi police station.
“We have identified remote places that are vulnerable and NMC has been asked to ensure the illumor right there and establish a CCTV camera wherever possible,” he said.
Multigentary meetings held on September 9 discussed various women’s safety issues, CP said.
Each DCP zonal has been ordered to ‘adopt’ one case regarding attacks on women and girls to track legal proceedings quickly.

On Friday, Zonal DCP Lohit Matani held a meeting of female opinion makers, leaders, social activists, and others at the Lakadganj office police station for feedback on women’s safety and safety issues in their area.
Matani said the police patrol would be intensified in certain areas where women felt unsafe to leave.
Actions will also be initiated against people who visit remote places to consume liquor, narcotics, and substance abuse.
Matani also said women would be appreciated because their participation in helping police improve security in their area and for warnings about crime.
