Rajkot: City police have started an investigation into a video showing a naked woman dancer appearing in a luxury hotel in the city of Yagnik City.
The police swung in action after the video became a viral on social media.
Overcoming Media People on Friday, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Manoharsharh Jadeja said that the application regarding this video was registered at the Division Police Station.
“We are investigating three points – the authenticity of the contents of the video, the source and if it’s from any party,” he said.
The video taken from height seems to be from a hotel in Yagnik Road.
The police had collected CCTV recordings from the hotel entrance and came out for the past week and analyzed it.
The police have also collected a photocopy of the recording of the last week of register.
A video, which was shot from a distance showing a blurry image of a woman dancing in naked near the hotel room window, has become a viral on social media on Thursday.
The exterior view of the building looks like a luxury hotel.
According to Jadeja, the hotel manager expressed ignorance of the incident and said that what had happened in the room was not his business as the hotel respected the privacy of guests and all types of intrusions would violate privacy.
Meanwhile, the police will send videos for forensic testing as soon as they find the source.
However, seeing the interior of the room in one video, the police have confirmed it is a hotel in Rajkot.
Regarding the type of violation that can be registered in this case, Jadyja said that if two people were found dancing in the room, no violations would be registered.
But if it is part of the party, it will call for a violation to be registered.
The hotel owner, however, told the police that they did not allow a party to take place in the hotel.
