Jaipur: City police significantly increased the average investigation period in the case of rape from 80 days last year to 46 days this year.
Additional Commissioner of Police (crime) Ajay Pal Lamba said that city police had instructed all police stations that investigations in such a cruel violation must be resolved on time so that the complaint could get justice on time.
The period of the average investigation of the crime against women in Rajasthan this year is around 76 days.
But in the city, the days of the days where investigations have been upgraded after strict monitoring of rape cases involving women and minors.
Lamba added that city police worked to increase the time of further investigation by ensuring that there were no cases of lingers.
“In such important cases, investigative officers are ordered to move quickly and do not delay any cases, except in cases where there are some doubts that require special examinations,” he said.
City police said that the drastic autumn was also caused by monitoring constant cases by senior officials.
