Mysuru: BJP MP Pratap Sime and JD MLA GT Devegowda on Sunday opposes the ongoing district administration encouragement to clean places of worship built on public land.
It came a day after the Siddaramaiiah Congress leader opposed the same thing.
The leaders of BJP and JD have urged the district government to drop drives.
Simea has suggested that government agencies go to appeal against the previous list prepared by the authorities.
Speaking to reporters at 101 Ganapathi Temple in Agrahara here, which has been marked for demolition, Simea accused that only Hindu places targeted by officials.
“I questioned the district administration: how many mosques and churches that appear in the constituency of Narasimharaja? In Kyathamaranahalli, how did the mosque have emerged in residential areas? In Periyapatna, I stopped the construction of the church.
Why does district administration stop? How many illegal structures are destroyed?” He asked.
“This problem is not limited to Mysu District alone.
In many districts, we can see this kind of development,” he said.
Alleged that the direction of the Supreme Court was not attended by the Administration of Mysuru Regency in the true spirit, he claimed that officials traveled like thieves – they came at night and destroyed temples.
“None of the steps prescribed by the state government in 2010 had been followed when taking encouragement.
They took him like a thief when the night arrived.
The government agency concerned must appeal to the Apex court to the ongoing encouragement.
They must modify A list of places of worship marked for demolition, “he said, adding that he would impress the Chairman of the Minister of Bumavaraj Bommai to intervene in this matter.
At the beginning of the day, former Minister and Chamundeshwari Mla Devegowda told reporters that the district government had to act against the encroachment of the first lake “because of important”.
Dismantling the temples hurt the people’s sentiment, he said, added: “Hindu has an emotional bond with the temple.
Destroying them like kicking people’s hearts.” According to documents, 93 places of worship, “built illegally in public places in the city” has been identified for demolition.
