New Delhi: Head of Commissioner Sushil Chandra said on Thursday that India’s income service officers (IRS) as a spending observer in the assembly poll held this year had pushed seizures when polls were 4.5 times compared to polls.

He added that many IRS officers as expenditure observers play an important role in ensuring that the power of money does not damage the field playing between the candidates of the contest.
While sharing his experience as a representative of special expenditure observers, CEC said that several recent elections were held purely because of the vigilant role played by Senior Officers Irs.
