New Delhi: Lord Uttar Pradesh BJP Responsible Dharmendra Pradhan Sunday held a brainstorming session with the Brahmin Leaders of the party from which state was decided to form a committee to carry out activities to reach BJP to the community, said the source.
With the aim of maintaining the caste equation in supporting BJP ahead of the assembly poll at Uttar Pradesh next year, Pradhan holds more than three hours of marathon meetings at his residence here attended by more than a dozen Brahmin leaders, they said.
During the meeting, it was decided to form an informal committee of the party Brahmana leaders to reach the important segment of this voter and share various welfare steps intended for them such as a 10 percent reservation for the poor from the top caste, they said.
The meeting at Pradhan’s residence was attended by the party of all the leading Brahmin leaders from the country, including Jitin Prasada, Ramapati Tripathi, several members of parliament, deputy head of the minister of Dinesh Sharma, Minister of Cabinet Sharma and Brijesh Pathak.
Speaking with reporters after that, Sharma said the meeting was about the election of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
He firmly stated that there was no part of the community or caste who was annoyed with BJP.
“There are some Brahmin ministers in the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh and the party works by taking all parts of the community going forward,” he said in response to questions.
These sources said Pradhan discussed various problems with party leaders and also received their responses to the upcoming elections.
In his offer for Woo Brahmana, BJP had previously held Brahmin Sammelans as an outreach training to the public.
