Vatican City: Vatican says Pope Francis has gone to the Roman hospital for operations scheduled for stenosis, or restrictions, from the large intestine.
A short announcement Sunday afternoon does not say when the operation will be done but it is said there will be an announcement when the operation is complete.
Only three hours before, Francis cheerfully welcomed the public in St.
Peter’s square according to the tradition of the week and told them that he would go to Hungary and Slovakia in September.
A previous week, Francis, 84, has used the same traditional appearance to ask the public for special prayers for the Pope, which, behind may have signaled the planned operation at the Gemelli Roma polyclinic.
