New Delhi: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that Prashant Kishor’s poll strategy joined Congress at several points to be serious, but it did not exercise for several reasons – “some in our part”.
While the AICC Secretary General who was responsible did not describe the reason the conversation had fallen, Priyanka conceded, in an interview with NDTV, that he was involved in conversation about joining Kishor Prashant.
He said that “it is inability to approve certain problems” which causes Kishor to join “not exercising”.
“It didn’t work for several reasons, some in his part and several on our side.
I don’t want to get into that detail.
But, there is an inability to agree to certain problems that inhibit discussions from moving forward,” he said.
Priyanka also sustained allegations that the Congress was not open to accepting people from outside and said the discussion with Kishor would not continue if it was the problem.
“Is there a reluctance to bring someone from outside, there will be no discussion,” he said.
Party sources also said Kishor’s insistence to want free hands in the party “restructuring” party and a voice in all major decision-making processes, including Disti-rigut tickets and strategies, has disappointed most party leaders.
