Lucknow: 22 weeks’ pregnancy caused by a rape of a 14-year-old Dalit Girl from Lakhimpur Kheri at Uttar Pradesh was stopped at Lucknow’s Queen Mary Hospital (QMH) on Friday.
The High Court has ordered a medical cessation of previously unwanted pregnancies on September 14 to relieve small girls from mental torture and trauma for life.
The young girl will be under observation for 24 to 48 hours in the hospital, the following will be sent home.
“The girl canceled the fetus Thursday night after the treatment given to him for the process after all safety protocols.
On Friday morning, he drove a tissue from his body which was then handed over to the police according to the court order to preserve it,” Informed QMH Medical Inspector Dr.
SP Jaiswar.
The 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a relative, who was now in prison.
However, he did not realize his pregnancy and what was done to him, until he complained of abdominal pain in August and was taken to the doctor.
Here, he was found 16 weeks pregnant and lawyers who took over the case approaching the high court for termination of pregnancy.
On September 14, the High Court ordered cessation and asked the medical council to ensure the possibility of the process.
Checked by a team of doctors at the Lakhimpur Kheri District Hospital on Tuesday, where he was found 22 weeks pregnant with 3 days, and was given a complication of his pregnancy, he was called Lucknow for further pregnancy medical termination process.
He was then treated at QMH on Tuesday night.
“The girl is fine and relieved out of an unwanted situation.
He feels comfortable and will be dismissed on Saturday if his mental and physical health remains healthy,” added Dr.
Jaiswar.
“The girl has shown extreme power in this terrible condition.
We have collected clothes and food for the duo of the children who are very unstable financially.
The legal aspects of the case also continue according to our expectations and we hope the culprit will not come out of prison and will Brought to court, “said his lawyer Haider Rizvi.
