Patna: President of RAM Nath Kovind arrived at Patna on Wednesday (October 20) on a three-day trip to the state capital.
Although Kovind will also visit the famous Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara, the birthplace of Gobind Singh’s teacher, and the famous Mahavir Mandir near the Patna Junction train station for three days staying at Raj Bhawan, the president arrived especially to participate in the Centenary Celebration of Bihar Vidhan Sabha Building on Thursday (October 21).
This will be the second visit of Kovind to the capital of Bihar after taking an oath as the 14th President of India on July 25, 2017.
Kovind previously reached Patna on November 9, 2017 to launch the third phase of the Bihar Agricultural Roadmap (2017-22) to provide further Fillip Integrated growth in the agricultural sector in the state.
Then, the main function was held at Samrat Ashoka Convention Kendra.
Kovind was the Governor of Bihar before being elected as President of India.
In accordance with the minutes minute minute program, Kovind will land at the local airport around 1 noon on Wednesday.
From the airport he will immediately go to Raj Bhawan where he will join high tea with Judge Patna High Court and their families around 6pm on the same day.
On October 21, Kovind will leave Raj Bhawan around 10:40 a.m.
and reach Bihar Vidhan Sabha at 10:50 a.m.
to participate in a celebration of a century of centuries.
Before dealing with the main function in the assembly, Kovind will also put the foundation stone for ‘Smriti Stambh (a hundred years warning tower) and planted the sampling of Bodhi trees in the Vidhan Sabha place.
At night, Kovind will participate in the cultural-cum-dinner program organized by the speaker at his official residence in Dishratna Marg.
On October 22 (Friday), the President will visit Harmandir Sahib Gurudwara who is famous in the patna sahib area, Mahavir Mandir near Patna Railway Station, Vipassana Center in Buddha and Khadi Mall Park near Gandhi Maidan before returning.
Kovind will leave for Delhi from Patna Airport at around 11:50 a.m.
on Friday, Raj Bhawan officials told TI on Tuesday.
In addition to illuminating the vast campus of Vidhan Sabha, speaker Vijay Kumar Sinha has made a complicated arrangement to welcome the president in the assembly spot and make an unforgettable opportunity.
Sinha speaker on Tuesday held a series of meetings with senior ministers and bureaucrats in his office to give a final touch to the preparation made to receive a warm welcome to Kovind on his arrival in place.
Both Deputy CMS Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi, Minister of Health Mangal Pandey and the Minister of Development of Jalan Nitin Navin and several senior bureaucrats attended the meeting held by the speaker.
