Following reports that some senior opposition leaders plan to go for Lakhimpur Kheri on Sunday night itself, Lucknow police threw a security ring around the house of all the main opposition leaders in Lucknow.
Congress Secretary General Priyanka Gandhi reached Leanow on Sunday night, and even though there was a security ring around his residence, he managed to sneak out and walked 2 km and enter his car to go to Lakhimpur.
When the last report came after midnight, the police planned to intercept his accompaniment before crossing the border of Sitapur.
The Secretary General of BSP SC Mishra will also leave the night itself, but stopped at Lucknow House.
