Vadodara: Professor V K Srivastava took over as Deputy Chancellor (VC) Msuniversity (MSU) on Thursday night.
Srivastava’s name was announced to post by the state government before he took over.
Before joining MSU, Srivastava was VC from Indus University in Ahmedabad.
He also previously vc from Sankalchand Patel University in Visnagar.
He is also a member of the State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority.
Srivastava has held several main positions at various universities for years.
These include University of Carnavati, GSFC University, University of Pandit Deendayal and other energy.
In addition to having administrative experience at the Education Institute, Srivastava has several research papers and publications for their credit.
He has expertise in wastewater treatment, solid waste management, environmental problems and energy recovery using plasma technology.
Srivastava was welcomed by Professor Parimal Vyas futures on Thursday.
MSU members, the Saffron group who has the majority in the MSU government agency, also remained along with other officials to welcome Srivastava.
Speaking to MediaPonpon, Shrivastava equates MSU to the ancient education chair of Takshashila, Nalanda and Vikramshila when established.
He said that he would work to regain this glory.
Shrivastava said that he would also focus on ensuring the MSU contribution to national mission such as Indian Startup, Indian Digital and made in India.
He stressed that today only provides insufficient education, it is important to provide quality education.
