Varanasi: Adami Aam Party Candidate from the Jungipur Assembly Chair in Ghazipur District Charan Yadav was arrested by Chaubeypur police on Sunday for violating the model of the model behavior after the recovery of the election campaign material without the name of the publisher or printer.
Rajesh Tripathi said the drive was being carried out near the Rajwari underpass bridge on the border of Varanasi-Ghazipur when the flag of the SUV carrier from a political party was stopped.
When checking the vehicle, 120 pamphlets, five stickers, five flags and 62 AP hats recovered, he said.
In checking the selection campaign material there is no name and address of the publisher or the printer found on them.
Kali Charan Yadav was arrested and a case was registered against it under the 127 representation of the People’s Law and 171 (f) IPC, said the inspector added that, during the initial investigation Yadav said he was a AAP candidate from the Jungipur chair in the Ghazipur district.
Yadav said he brought publicity material for his election campaign.
When the police sought a reason not to name the publisher and printer according to the direction of the Indian Election Commission, Yadav convinced to provide clarification about it.
However, when he failed to give clarification at a certain time, the police initiated legal action against him, Tripathi said.
