Amsterdam: Thousands of protesters packing Amsterdam roads on Sundays contrary to the steps and campaigns of the Covid-19 vaccination applied by the government as a viral infection reaching a new record.
Authorities were given the power to stop and look for several locations throughout the city and a number of riot police vans patrolled where the demonstrators marched with banners and yellow umbrellas.
Regular anti-Koronavirus protests are held throughout the country and Sunday big meetings are combined by farmers who advance to the capital and park tractors along the center of the Middle Museum.
The crowd plays music, shouting anti-government slogans and then lined up along the highway, blocking traffic.
The Netherlands has one of the toughest locking in Europe for a month through the year-end vacation.
In the midst of public opposition growth, Prime Minister Mark Rutte on Friday announced the reopening of stores, hairdressers, and fitness centers, some lifted Kuncian despite records the number of new Covid-19 cases.
Infection reached another high record above 36,000 on Sundays, data published by the Dutch Institute for Health (RIVM).
The Netherlands has recorded more than 3.5 million infections and 21,000 deaths since the commencement of Pandemic.
The Government Rutte ordered locking in mid-December as a wave of Delta variant forcing the health system to cancel all but the most urgent care and seem to increase the omicron case would overwhelm it.
Non-essential shops, hairdressers, beauty salons, and other service providers are allowed to reopen on Saturday in strict conditions.
Bars, restaurants, and cultural places have been ordered to remain closed to at least January 25 because of uncertainty about how the omicron wave will affect hospital capacity.
