“India is worried about such cases in neighboring countries.
The central government takes all steps to stop this polyovirus from spreading its tentacles in India,” Pandey said, added, “Even a case of polio wherever in the world can lead to a comeback .
“He said Afghanistan had reported 56 cases of polio and Pakistan 84 in 2020.
Even in 2021, these cases were reported from both countries.
Speaking of strategies to investigate children with polio drops in Bihar, Pandey said special focus will be given to migrant children, travelers and those who live in hamlets and workers who live around the kiln brick and interior.
A special team will be formed to monitor that all children get their drops.
Trained vaccinators will also be deployed at transit points such as bus stations and train stations so there are no children who lose their vaccine drop.
Pandey even instructed the district judge to form a polio task unit in their respective districts before starting the drive so that the instructions needed could be given to health workers and officials involved.
