Pune: Pune City Police have registered 25 shots against illegal numerousness and arrested 35 people, including the police, because of their involvement in illegal money loan business.
Some money lenders are found to charge as high as 60% of interest rates on loan money.
On Friday, the crime branch official captured the illegal money lender from Yevalewadi to issue threats to a businessman (32) from Kondhwa.
Employers have taken RS8lakh loans from MoneyLender about a year ago.
Moneylender demands RS22lakh, including interest and principal from him.
When entrepreneurs expressed their inability to pay large quantities, Moneylender began to embrace him.
Likewise, in joint operation by the crime branch of Pune City and Police Shirur on December 19, six men, including the police and flap, was arrested for kidnapping a businessman (33) from Shirur and keeping him in the bed sheet room in Dhankawadi.
The police team stormed the place and saved the entrepreneurs and then arrested six men.
The suspects have issued a threat to employers, demanding 60% interest in the loaned amount.
Commissioner Pune Pune Amitabh Gupta said, “We now focus our attention on illegal ownership operating in the city.
They not only harassed the victims but were also involved in the incidence of kidnapping, attack, home violations and others.” Police have issued a special telephone number 9145003100 for People to complain about harassment by MoneyLender.
“The number of cases against MoneyLenders has risen in the last two weeks after we started a special drive.
We have registered 25 cases in the past two weeks.
Our actions will continue,” Gupta said.
