Pune: Four unemployed men, between 19 and 27 years old, were arrested in a few hours after they were allegedly intercepted and robbed the resident of Wai RS5,000 near Uruli Devachi on Jalan Pune-Saswad around midnight on Saturday.
The police recovered two motorbikes used in crime and cash robbed from four people from Uruli Devachi.
“Santosh Gautam Chavan (27), Laxman Chandrakant Dharwadkar (23), Deepak Shrirang Sakat (19) and Vikas Anil Kusale (22) are men who are arrested.
They are unemployed and do not have a criminal background,” said the pramod inspector from Police Loni Kalbhor.
The incident occurred when Ajinkya Ajit Wagh (30), who worked with the Administrative Department of a private company in Wai in Satara Regency returned to his car with his mother and relatives of Kharadi.
After Wagh filed a complaint with the police, the police team swung actions and took four suspects to detention.
During questioning, they admitted robbery.
