Pune: Runway from Pune Airport will still be closed for 14 days from October 16 to October 29 for reset carpet, sources at the airport to Tii.
“The runway will remain closed from 8pm on October 15.
The flight will be resumed from 8am on October 30,” said an airport official.
“When the foundation will remain closed, there is no flying movement that will occur,” said the source to Ti.
The source in defense also confirms the same thing, adding that the facility will be open from October 30 and is expected to be 24 hours of operation.
The closing comes during the season’s continued celebration and people travel to various places for vacation.
In the previous conversation, an airport official had told TI that the total closure was expected after Diwali.
The carpet card returns the airport runway, which is mainly an IAF base, has begun last September.
During that time, IAF has announced that while the airport will only operate for 12 hours – between 8am to 8 a night, from October 26, the foundation will be completely closed for 14 days from April 26 to May 9 this year so that work can be completed at the end October.
