Pune: The number of people testing positive for Covid-19 surged to more than two highs of 404 highs in the Pune Metropolitan area (PMR) on Wednesday.
Regardless of the increase, the level of the first day’s position remained almost unchanged at 2.5% for the region compared to the previous day.
Among new cases, Pune’s city limits recorded 232, followed by the Pimpri Chinchwad (83) area and rural parts (72).
Other areas in the region came under the council, each Cantonments recorded 12 and 5 cases.
The region recorded 229 recovery in the last 24 hours, with the majority of release recorded in the PMC (91) limit, followed by rural parts (58) and PCMC (46) limits.
Recovery in the area under the board stands in two, while in Canton, it stands in nine.
With this, the total number of Covid-19 patients issued has increased above 11.41 lakh in PMR, while the progressive number of positive cases has reached above 11.63 lakh, showing the Covid-19 daily report issued by the district administration .
Two more patients surrendered to Covid-related infections on PMR on Wednesday, taking victims to 19,241.
The day report showed that the total number of active cases increased to 2,226 in PMR on Wednesday, including 1,677 patients in the case of the house.
Health officials have urged residents to be careful considering the threat of Omicron.
