Pune: Maharashtra reported 26 new cases of Omicron variants, including one of the rural areas of Pune, on Monday.
With this, the state counting of the Covid-19 case confirmed related to the Omicron variant reached 167, including 43 of Pune District.
The official report said 21 of the 26 cases Monday involved symptomatic patients.
Five remaining patients show mild symptoms.
Among the 26 new cases added, 11 came from Mumbai, five of Raigad, four of the boundaries of Thane and two from Nanded.
Nagpur, Palghar, Bhivandi-Nizampi Limit Municipal and Pune Rural reported one case of each new variant.
