Pune: Three men were arrested on Friday on charges of hacking a 36-year-old man to death on old disputes.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night at Kanhewadi near Chakan.
The Chakan police identified the victim as Bahirat Dinesh from Kanhewadi.
They have caught trio – Rajesh Yevale (25), Omkar Dhore (23) and Sunny Shinde (21), all from Kanhewadi – under section 302 (murder) and 307 (murder attempts) from the Indian Criminal Code (IPC).
The victim’s friend, Mayur Yevale, filed a complaint to the police in this matter.
An officer from Police Chakan said Dinesh run the restaurant in Chakan.
“He has an old competition with the suspect,” the officer said.
Around 9pm on Wednesday, Dinesh and Rajesh were docked on the car park in the middle of the road.
“Two other suspects won there with sharp weapons.
Seeing this, when Mayor tried to intervene, the duo attacked him.
But he avoided them,” The officer told me, adding that after that, Rajesh subjected Dinesh and the Duo attacked the last fatal with sharp weapons.
