Pune: Medical and Community Health Officers of Pune Zilla Parishad (ZP), which filter 3.
Children Lakh for six years old in Pune rural areas last month, has identified 2,099 nutrition and 5.201 children who might need medical intervention .
These children identified will be examined by specialists and guided by nutritionists.
Pune ZP will carry out free blood tests and body scans to recommend medical, surgical and nutrition interventions.
Among the malnourished children detected, 1,695 was quite acute while 404 was very acute.
Data is included in the diagnostic supporting software system to help doctors in an accurate diagnosis.
Bhagwan Pawar, Pune ZP Health Officer, said that in addition to malnutrition, children are LSOs diagnosed for skin diseases, birth defects, ears, nose, throat and hearing problems, lacks, children’s diseases, and other ophthalmological problems.
The maximum case is diagnosed with ENT issues followed by certain deficiencies in children.
Pawar said, “A plan is being formulated to benefit from the children surveyed and their shortcomings are mainly related to malnutrition.
Gram Panchayats has been told to provide a diet chart to women and children who will improve health.”
