Gurdaspur: Punjab Police have recovered 40mm under the Barrel Grenade Launcher (UBGL) with two grenades that are compatible with two 40 mm, 3.79 kg RDX, nine electrical detonators, and two set of timer devices for improvised (IED) device from Gurdaspur Punjab, Inspector General of Police (IGP), the range of borders, Mohinish Chawla said on Friday.
UBGL is a weapon of a short-term grenade launch area with an effective range of 150 meters and can damage VVIP security as well.
The official release issued on Friday said that the recovery was carried out at Malkeet Singh’s disclosure, a resident of Gazikot Village in Gurdaspur, who was arrested by Gurdaspur police on Thursday.
Earlier on January 14, the special task force has broken the terror module after the recovery of around 5kg Ied, including 2.7 kg RDX and RS 1 Note of the Indian Lakh currency near the Indo-sir’s international border in the Amritsar sector.
