Chandigarh: Leading, Shiroman Akali Dal (SAD) on Monday released a list of candidates for 64 segments in Punjab for the selection of state assemblies scheduled for early next year.
There are no other political parties that announce their candidates to date.
Sad President Sukhbir Singh Badal has announced 22 party candidates to date and 42 remaining candidates added on Monday.
Sukhbir, which is Lok Sabha MP from Ferozpur, will fight from the old assembly constituents – Jalalabad.
The party’s protector and former Head of Parkash Minister Singh Badal was not on the list released on Monday but his party had not yet announced a candidate from the Lambi Assembly constituency from where he sat MLA.
There are a total number of 117 assembly segments in Punjab.
After deciding on the relations with the old allies of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a controversial agriculture law, which was sad in June this year announced an alliance with the Bahujan Party Samajj (BSP).
Before this, it was sad and BSP had compiled the 1996 Sabha in the Alliance in Punjab.
In accordance with the chair sharing formula, which is sad will fight in 97 assembly segments and BSP in 20 remaining constituencies.
So, now sad now must announce 33 candidates left in the future.

Similarly, Adaish Partap Singh Kairon will contest from Patti, Baldev Singh Khaira (Philaur), Gurpartap Singh Wadala (Nakodar), Chandan Grewal (Jalandhar Central), Jagbir Singh Brar (Jalandhar Cantt), Pawan Kumar Tinu (Adpur)), Sarabjeet Singh Saabi (Mukerian), Singh Thandal (Chabbewal (SC)), Surinder Singh Bhulewal Rathan (Garhshankar), Sukhwinder Singh Sukhi (Banga (SC)), Daljeet Singh Cheema (Ropar), Ranjit Singh Gill (Kharar), Jagdeep Singh Cheema (Fatehgarh Sahib), Gurpreet Singh Raju (Amloh), Paramjeet Singh Dhillon (Samrala), Sharanjit Singh Dhillon (Sahnewal), Ranjit Singh Gill (East Ludhiana), Harish Rai Danda (Atam Nagar), Pritpal Singh Pali (Central Ludhiana) , Maheshinder Singh Grewal (Ludhiana West), Darshan Singh Shivalik (Gill), Manpreet Singh Ayyi (Dakha), Sr.
