Nagpur: The State Public Works Department (PWD) has an asphalt part of the road from MLA Hostel Square to the RBI quarter in civilians even when Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) is set to stretch completely.
The lack of coordination between the two institutions has resulted in the loss of public money.
NMC has proposed a complete regret from the streets of MLA Hostel Square to RBI Quarters to the State office, the Metro train office to the High Court and Raj Bhavan Square to Katol Crore at a cost of Rs 1.43 Crore.
The tender process takes a month and is completed a few days ago.
The NMC standing committee on Friday approved a work order to a quality contractor.
NMC, however, does not prioritize PWD countries that carry out road maintenance in civil lines.
Given the criticism of holes on several roads in civil lines, the PWD state issued a tender and began to repair the hole.
But PWD only does a patchwork.
On Thursday, the PWD contractor distinguished half-sided from the road from MLA Hostel Square to Deshpande Hall.
The hole in the remaining half portion is filled.
Some patchwork also carried out between Deshpande Hall and Quarters Square RBI.
As in the total asphal case, the disabled accountability period of this work is three years.
When the Superintending Engineer NMC Ajay Pohekar received information, he contacted the PWD engineer and stopped the work.
In addition, PWD will do work to the ship’s office.
Before planning or carrying out works, PWD didn’t bother checking with NMC.
The PWD engineer told TOI that the work was taken because of the road in a bad condition but immediately stopped after receiving information from NMC.
In some assistance for motorists, the PWD National Highway Division has completed a repair of a hole in Jalan Amravati between various square and campuses.
An engineer from the department said that the plan was to tense the road from various square to Wadi, so that total asphalting was avoided.
“We have sent a proposal with the head office to seek funds.
Also, the process has begun to build two flyovers from Bhole Petrol Pump Square to NU Campus Square and from Gurudwara to Wadi,” he said.
Along with NMC, Nagpur PIMPL Trust (NIT) has also started a hotmix factory and asphal road in a regular layout.
Superintending Engineer Nit Leena Upadhyay said, “The plan is also a tar in the metropolitan area.
Nit will continue the operation of the Hotmix factory both immediately.
Nit will supply tar to NMC to accelerate road repairs,” he said.
