Letter: The team from the Ministry of Health collects ghari (traditional sweet) samples and materials used for that from various sweet shops in the city on Tuesday, two days before the Chadni Padvo Festival.
Overall 28 ghari samples were collected from 14 sweet manufacturing units including Sumul Dairy and Dairy Choryasi in Bhagal too.
The collected samples have been sent for testing at the Public Health Laboratory of Municipal Corporation (SMC).
On Monday, the Ministry of Health Team collected 31 samples of MAVA from 17 sellers in various regions and sent this for testing to the laboratory.
Ghari, high calories made of a mixture of various types of fried gram flour snacks, is the most sought after hatred in Chandni Padva as a person who rejoices it ate it with rice fragments ‘Bhusu’ and PaAnva.
A large number of Ghari is sold and consumed during the Festival and every year the SMC health department tests Sweet Ahead of the Festivity.
“We collected previous Mava samples and on Tuesday collecting Ghari samples because sweet ones would be consumed in large quantities during the festival.
Usually, the results of the laboratory will take around 14 days but we have asked for an initial report,” said an official from the Department of Food.
