Vadodara: Former Dean of the Faculty of Science M, Professor A C Sharma, has written a textbook about modern quantum mechanics that will be used by students who study physics globally.
So far, no one from the MSU or other Gujarat University has written and published international standard physics textbooks and it is also in complex subjects such as quantum mechanics.
“Writing international textbooks is the most difficult task for physics teachers or researchers.
That is the reason why there is no teacher from Gujarat that publishes an international textbook recognized in this matter,” Sharma said, 64, who started the task after retiring from MSU .
“Most textbooks are currently being used are foreign writers.
Students find it difficult to follow this textbook from foreign writers because of language difficulties and the lack of complicated explanations about the formula / derivative of the mathematics used by foreign writers,” Sharma said, whose textbook has been published by famous publishers of books and journals – The CRC.

Sharma has taught many courses about quantum mechanics for 33 years of teaching and 40 years of research careers at the MSU and Jostong University, Gwalior, as regular teachers and subject experts at other universities.
“My interaction with students while teaching quantum mechanics and guiding them to post-graduate dissertations, masters philosophy dissertations and for a PhD title made me realize that most students at Indian universities were left behind in understanding quantum mechanics compared to students in the US, Europe and Other developed countries, “Sharma said, added that for the past 2-3 decades, the quantum mechanics also continued to evolve as a subject.
