Shimla: Two Police Haryana was arrested in a multi-crore racketing businessman at the Himachal Pradesh Industry Center, according to a statement issued by Himachal Pradesh DGP Sanjay Kundu on Thursday.
The special investigation team (sitting) arranged to look into this problem has revealed that the gang apparently extorted money on behalf of several senior officers Haryana.
Sitting led by Rohit Malpani, SP (Cyber crime), and consists of Gaurav Singh, SP (EOW), Virender Kalia, SP (Cid-Crime) and other police officers, based after registration of police cases Cid Bharari in Shimla on January 6 This year.
This case was related to accusing Vinay Aggarwal, which, disguised as the Inspector General of Police, has extorted a large amount of money from Industrialist Kala-Amb, Baddi, Nalagarh and other regions in Himachal Pradesh for the past three years.
Himachal DGP’s statement said that during the investigation by sitting, it corrected that agggarwal and PSO from an officer Haryana was only a channel.
He said that the gang, acting on behalf of several senior officers from Haryana, had extracted a large number of many industrialists through coercion.
He said two Haryana police personnel were identified as police ravinders and warden jasveer prisons – using automatic weapons – used to accompany Aggarwal.
DGP said that the sitting investigation had described extortion relations at each level and involvement of an official from Haryana.
DGP advised industrialists, who were victims of this gang, to approach him and sit down, without fear, so justice was carried out.
He said the police were deployed in the Sonipat district and prison, posted in the Jagadhari prison, Yamunanagar, was arrested and sent to the 9-day police custody.
