New Delhi: Preparing for a large package of Indian water, Indigo on Friday announced it will start a major expansion on Longhaul’s international route.
Co-founder and budget carrier promoter, Rahul Bhatia, has been appointed as MD to prepare for the next growth phase.
The airline quoted Bhatia said that “the agenda will be transformational and will focus on expanding the presence of airlines in India and in the international market and buildings for the long term.” The airline has ordered Airbus A321 XLR (remote extra range) which has a range to fly without stopping from India to European destinations such as Moscow and the Far East.
CEO of Indigo Ronojoy Dutta said: “I will describe Rahul as an anxious and based entrepreneur who is always looking for greater and better opportunities in any business or effort.

About the new role of Bhatia, Chairman of Indigo Meleveetil Damodaran said “This will further strengthen airlines in the coming years.
