Aurangabad: Pending Requests for new railroad routes between Aurangabad and Ahmednagar are likely to push the official push.
The Aurangbad District Guardian Minister Subhash Desai has promised all possible support for the proposed route, which is part of a larger route connecting Aurangabad to Pune through Ahmednagar.
“The Chairperson of the Minister of UDDHAV Thackeray itself has ordered the follow-up needed with the train ministry to connect Aurangabad and Ahmednagar with a new railway line.
The state government is committed to a new line and will ensure all possible support,” Desai at the latest review meeting.
There is no direct train connectivity between Aurangabad and Ahmednagar at this time, with the train reaching both purposes using a longer route through MANMAD.
Previously, in February, train officials had conducted a field survey for the 120 km route proposed between the two cities by reaching different state government authorities, stakeholders, and possible beneficiaries.
The proposed railway route – where the development of Maharashtra Train infrastructure has provided favorable comments after carrying out a variability assessment in November 2020 – is expected to further add to the development related to the upcoming Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and the Aurangabad Industry City (Auric).
Desai, meanwhile, also increased to offer effective air connectivity between Aurangabad and Shirdi Temple City.
“Good tourist destinations will soon have good road connectivity because of the Samruddhi toll road.
The main minister is further interested in offering air connectivity among cities for the benefit of tourists and pilgrims,” he said.
Desai, which is also Maharashtra Industries ministers, has promised a quick execution of various sustainable and proposed development work in Aurangabad, in addition to a smooth slide from the government’s decision to regulate the property of Gunthewari.
