Ranchi / Jamshedpur: The agitation of the six-hour ‘rail rail’ called by Sanyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM) on Monday to protest the violence recently at Uttar Pradesh, Lakhimpur Kheri failed to make a sign on Jharkhand.
A handful of protesters, including workers and SKM supporters and left parties, converging on the railroad track at the Namkum station on the outskirts of Ranchi in the afternoon and tried to block the prayer-the-Kharagpur passenger movement.
However, the RPF Jawan was deployed at the station forcing protesters out of the track.
Even though Sufal Mahto SKM claimed that the train was blocked for almost an hour, Ranchi’s train division refused.
“Some protesters have gathered on the railroad track at the Namkum train station in an effort to stop the train movements but they were removed.
None of the trains originating and ending in the Ranchi train division were affected by scheduled protests,” Avish Kumar, Commercial Manager Senior Division – Public Relations officers in the Ranchi Train Division, to TII.
The passenger movement, express and delivery remained normal in the Chakradharpur train division, headquartered in Jamshedpur.
“Some protesters have gathered on the Bimlagarh-Patasai railroad near Rourkela but escorted from the track,” said the commander of RPF Onka Singh.
“The movement of all trains in the division is normal,” he added.
