MySuru: City roads are now crying for facelifts.
After several heavy rainfall spells, many roads have developed a challenging hole for drivers and cyclists.
The Mayor of Sunanada Palanetra has assured that Patch Works will be taken immediately and drainage will be removed to ensure there are no water related problems.
City residents accuse that in many places, road conditions have been sad, pose a danger for drivers during the rain.
They accused that even after the complaint repeatedly to the local authorities there was no action taken.
The cyclist said this problem was not limited to one single locality.
They accused when it rained, rain water flowed on the road when the waterways were blocked in many places.
They added that if they filed a complaint to the Environmental or Canporator level officers, the general answer they got was that there were no funds for each repair work.
Pandurada G Shetty, a Nagartha Nagar resident, said most roads in his area now need a facelift.
“Over the past year, no repair work was taken.
The road that connects the residential area is also no exception.
There is an urgent need to take repair work.
Another, people will suffer greatly,” he said.
“In many companies, now the concrete road is being developed as a solution for a hole.
PKS must stop finding a temporary solution.
Instead, it must think of a sustainable long-term solution,” he said.
The Mayor of Sunanda said he would take the patchwork and drain the clearing drive based on priority.
“There is no current level of environmental funds.
But I will make sure this problem will be handled soon,” he said.
